About the platform

A shared repository for toxicogenomics signatures.

TOXsIgN collects, standardises, and cross-links molecular signatures derived from toxicological experiments. Each signature captures the set of entities — genes, proteins, or metabolites — that respond to a chemical exposure, together with the experimental context needed to interpret it: species, tissue, dose, and study design.

The repository is multi-omics by design. A single project can hold transcriptomic, proteomic, and metabolomic assays side by side, each with its own identifier vocabulary, so that responses can be compared across molecular layers and across studies.

Deposited signatures are automatically linked to AOP-Wiki adverse outcome pathways via their chemical stressors, and can be explored with functional enrichment, comparative analysis, and the ChemPSy chemical-space tools.
